he's assuming that "naturalism" is necessarily "materialist"... it demands an inital acceptance that (his) God can't be involved before any explanation is offered.

If you use God Immanent, then the above all fades away... as I"v noted before.


Naturalism ("nature is all there is") is necessarily materialist and does rule out any divine involvment. When you talk about God's immanence as an explanation for anything you've left naturalism.
