Been tried and resoundingly ignored by people. and we don't have a Tsar. In a land of adults, do we really really sit around waiting for Great Leader to tell us to cope?

Beat the drum on that daily then. Not the drum that says "oh, leader, tell us to conserve". no, tell us yourself, show the reasons, make the case. and show the case by conserving more himself and explaining how he is doing it.

get a rake and go to the gulf. hard to feel helpless when your wore out from a day of raking oiled sands in 90 degree heat and humidity. ya sleep the sleep of the righteous.
Instead of staring mesmerized at the tragedy in the gulf, like spectators at a train wreck, we should be trying to regain that innovative can-do spirit that made America the greatest of nations.
take the innitiative as an American who can afford and hop in that electric car, and take trains, not planes, and demonstrate that can-do spirit rather than wilting like a serf waiting for guidance from yer Tsar.
oh, and he could select a small biz that is working on something green and make a personal investment in it (not through the stock market. person to person). surely he has a few bucks in the bank. |
