good post. but where I disagree is here: These oil barons, in concert with Wall Street are killing America in slow motion...and most citizens don't fully comprehend what's really going on. as you said earlier in the post, it is on us. oil barons would not be barons if we didn't crave and devour their product. and too many are willfully ignorant... ala the outcry over the Gulf when it is not unknown what is going on in Nigeria, it's just so easy to close our eyes to it when it's far away and happens to 'those people'. (and, yes, I have my guilt in such things). it's a bit like stopping between sniffs of cocaine to bemoan the violence of a Jamacian drug lord. as to Wall Street... ya, they are just messed up people.
