Idiot. You said:

"Yes, he sent down to Houston several scientists from his administration including Chu and they recommended a kind of imaging that would BP to see how badly the BOP was damaged. It was very helpful in getting a sense of the damage."

Your link in no way mentions, nor even SUGGESTS, that Chu or other administration officials made any kind recommendation in regard to imaging techniques, and certainly not that any such recommendation was helpful.

The fact is BP has all the experts on the subject. Chu and other Administration officials are literally ignorant on these subjects by comparison. That you would think otherwise is absurd.

Within 48 hours of the blowout BP had spent millions of dollars flying in experts from all over the world. Not only experts on blowouts, but experts on putting out well fires, experts in putting out all kinds of marine fires, equipment, etc.

The idea that some nitwit bureaucrat in a neophyte Obama administration could even contribute anything to solving this problem is laughable.

"The second relief well, which started on May 16, had reached 8,576 feet before drilling was temporarily suspended on May 26, but it has now resumed.

The 2nd relief well was suspended pending outcome of the "Top Kill". It had nothing to do with Obama, and was done to put the BOP on standby in case they decided to place it on top of the existing BOP.

The 2nd well was restarted after that possibility was abandoned.
