Yeah, but you're trying to misrepresent what those plumes are ... they're not visible to the naked eye, you have to test the water to identify them.

I am not trying to misrepresent anything. In fact, I am hoping the marine life is doing okay inspite of all that oil floating around. As you pointed out, there is natural seepage in the Gulf......its a part of the Gulf's ecosystem. In addition while watching a video showing the seepage, I saw a snake swim by completely unfazed by the oil. I am incensed by the media saying over and over again the GOM has turned into a cesspool. I am not there but I hope that's not true. I am also concerned for the fishermen......does the spill mean they will lose their livelihood for the next ten years? As far as what I've read, it didn't happen with the 1979 spill off Ixtoc so maybe it won't happen now. I think its the ecological unknowns coupled with not knowing when the spill will end that has everyone on edge.
