Its a shame what I wrote is viewed as outlandish. We're not supposed to have politicized justice.

Well we have throughout our history so get used to it. Who do you think writes the laws?; hint, politicians.

Has it occurred to you that your own rhetoric is harmful to Florida tourism? You've said the Gulf of Mexico is a sewer and will be essentially forever ... so why would anyone who listened to you ever want to visit Florida?

That's not what I said but... what should I do, lie? What should the media do, not report the worst environmental catastrophe in our history? I know you want this to just go away but really you have to face it.

Oh but it is real. You just said Florida is untouched by oil so far but its tourism is down anyway.

The media is telling the truth. People make judgments. When you are paying hard cash for your only week vacation it's hard to get warm and fuzzy about visiting the Gulf... now associated with oil. You want to go someplace pristine.

That's not hysteria. That's human nature. It's why tourist ads show pristine beaches not oil refineries.

I know but this isn't going to be a temporary problem for BP.

Or the industry. Just heard on the way in that Gov Charlie Crist wants to call a special session of the legislature to amend the constitution to forever ban drilling in Florida waters. Redundant since it's already against FL law.
