They are not printing. Actually, the Fed is planning to shove
all new electrons back into their electronic printing press,
but do it very slowly in order to not upset the markets. Canada
just hiked. Actually, this means things are getting a bit better.
Overall, thou, it is very unlikely US economic growth will
be speedy during this decade, given overall level of
public and private debt. In fact, we'll be very lucky to
avoid the fan and the GD part deux associated with it. It's
a global problem, and some countries will be luckier than
others. Some will not be able to avoid the fan. Nevertheless,
economic growth continues after SHTF. Good example is South
Korea after 1997-1998 Asian crisis. It hit the fan then, but
now the unemployment barely went upward. We may be in for
longer trouble. -g/ng-
