Appreciate the thoughts. Jesus is supposed to Lord of all aspects of our lives. I confess sometimes I've bashed the investments of others in a less than christian way. We need to love our neighbor as our selves here, or elsewhere, right?

The last question is a little more difficult. It's good not to borrow money, but it's not necessarily evil to borrow either. I've used margin before and options. SOme of my options trades might have been called poor stewardship by some, but that's hindsight. When I opened the positions I thought they were prudent, but a little more risky. I don't subscribe to the idea that a given financial vehicle can be evil in and of itself -- options and other leveraged vehicles are necessary I think to provide liquidity and hedging functions.

When does it become gambling and/or poor stewardship? That may be a question that has to be answered individually, I think.

How do you feel about these things, Cisco?

Perhaps worse than us giving out bad advice (losing others money) may be the absence of communication about the relative importance of investments in our lives and the true Source of all that we have.

Regards
Barry
