You have solidified your right to be the resident theologian. A fine and well-thought out answer. And an obvious one when it comes to quoting Jesus' words "It is written" It seems that many stumble over Jesus being God. I well remember the time I had a salvation Bible study with a person that was into some mideastern transcendental meditation stuff. When I was able to show her that Jesus was God in the flesh, it about knocked her socks off, and the Holy Spirit was faithful---she prayed to receive Jesus into her life! No doubt about it. Jesus is God. The Father is God. The Holy Spirit is God. Period. You've undoubtedly seen the triangle with the Father on one corner, the Holy Spirit on another and Jesus on the other. In the triangle's center is written God, with the arrows pointing to the middle, but when it came to the arrows pointing to each of the others, you would show Jesus is not the Father, the Father is not Jesus, Jesus is not the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit is not Jesus, the Father is not the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit is not the Father, I'll try and draw it, but haven't had any luck with this kind of thing, but here goes--- Arrows to one another Father will say "is not" /arrows to the center / from Father, Son, and /GOD Holy Spirit will say Son /______\ Holy Spirit "is"
Have a sensational day.
