Yes, it's true. However, I don't think we need to give up the bottom rung jobs. I think we have a way to compete and that's to allow unskilled labor to immigrate into the US, do the work Americans don't want to do for American companies, and pay taxes as they do it. That way, they support our economy and make our companies more competitive against Chinese sweat shops.

However, we can't do that kind of thing if we hate immigrants. Hate and irrationality get in the way of solutions.
