Curly: Thanks for your response. In your post #8232, you stated that "management has already said expect at least 15% sequential growth from here." Naturally, I expected to see a quote to that effect. Instead, you derive your opinion of what was said from the press release (I guess) which you quoted as follows:

1. "On a sequential basis, third quarter revenue increased 15 percent....."

2. "we feel comfortable with revenue growth increasing for at least the next two
quarters".......(edit note: he said revenue GROWTH increasing - not just revenue
increasing...important point, considering last qtrs GROWTH was 15%
sequential)........

I won't address the omissions of two paragraphs (or more) between 1 and 2 which does not bode well for your interpretation, but will simply say that your conclusion of what management said was an inference. Why? Because "revenue growth" may not mean an accelerating rate of growth as you seem to think but could simply mean "revenue growth" in terms of absolute numbers quarter over quarter whether it is 1%, 5%, 15% or more. Besides, your interpretation (15% or more) does not seem to jive with the 40% "sales growth" cited by Angus in the NYT article ("[H}e expected sales growth of 40% next year"). You know that 40% sales growth for the year is certainly different from "15% sequential growth from here." I will call Cymer and get confirmation of what they meant and post the response given that your interpretation has some plausibility.

Re: "Justa W. you seem to have some other opinions and maybe you can tell how many units you perceive shipping given the above facts."

Nice try at deflection, but the issue as I see it (and the one I raised) concerns what the company thinks. I am sure you will agree that they know more than we do (or at least me) and that the thread has more interest in what they think as opposed to what you or I think.

Re: "P.S.: The quickest way for a man to get a haircut is to ask his barber if he needs a haircut."

Not always. Professional barbers should give you an honest evaluation. Maybe you should consider switching barbers.
