It would NOT be attractive when say 500 users "useful" work comes to a screeching halt because the companies server goes down (believe me, they do). In this case, you pretty much bring an entire organization to it's knees. Of-course we need to compare that to a single person who wrestles with fixing his PC. I have lived through both and I would not be easily convinced one is much better than the other.
