Sun engineered bechmark-awareness into their VM precisely
because this had already become standard practice by the
competition. Caffeinemark isn't thought to be a very telling
benchmark to begin with, so this type of behavior (by all
parties) only changes its value from marginal to meaningless.

Until the industry comes up with a more meaningful benchmark,
those shopping for a Java platform should benchmark using the
application they plan to deploy. Solaris will do very well in
such comparisons.
