The chart also doesn't show how cheap banks got money from the Feds. The banks contructed sub prime instruments that were designed to let buyers into homes they could not afford. I remember getting a 3 year ARM in 2003 at 3%...the fixed rate 30 year mortgage at the time was running at 6%. Think about that.... Al
