re: "Has anybody heard when the next 'blockade buster' is supposed to reach the 20-mile limit off Gaza? I'm eagerly awaiting the news.
When the ship named after a Darwin Award candidate gets boarded, some good stuff should happen.

"...Racheal Corry died under the false impression that the Israeli army and some compassion or mercy."
As I recall the news stories at the time, she died of unadulterated stupidity. The 'dozer had a 5 ft high blade, and the driver couldn't see her. I mean, how stupid do you have to be to get run over by a 10 ton machine moving at 2 mph? A snail could have gotten out of the way.
Standing in front of a bulldozer doesn't even have the excuse of a friendly misunderstanding, it's just pure-dee stupid.

I realize discussions on politics and religion can get heated, but mocking the death of a young girl, someone's daughter, who happens to be an American... calling her "a Darwin Award candidate," while giddily looking forward for "good stuff" to happen when the aid boat named after her is intercepted, is really pretty pathetic.
Rachel Corrie was still a kid, a college student. And she was an American. Mocking a child's death, and gloating about how you look forward to "more action" is perhaps the single most despicable post I've ever seen here.
I'll stop there.
For the record...
Here's actual photo's from the day of Rachel Corrie's death.
An important fact is the bulldozer had two occupants. A driver and an IDF soldier spotter who was standing up at all times.
Another important fact, is that Rachel Corrie was wearing a full sized bright orange vest, and was also carrying and using a megaphone.
More importantly, the driver and the spotter had engaged her multiple times throughout the demonstration. It would have been virtually impossible to lose site of her.
Here's time dated photos from the day of the accident:

Picture taken between 3:00-4:00PM, 16 March 2003, Rafah, Occupied Gaza. Rachel Corrie (L) and Nick (R) oppose the potential destruction of this home (to the west of the Doctor's home where Rachel was killed). In the instance pictured, the bulldozer did not stop and Rachel was pinned between the scooped earth and the fence behind her. On this occasion, the driver stopped before seriously injuring her.

Picture taken between 3:00-4:00PM on 16 March 2003, Rafah, Occupied Gaza. A clearly marked Rachel Corrie, holding a megaphone, confronts the driver of one of two Israeli bulldozers in the area that were attempting to demolish a Palestinian homes. She was confronting the bulldozer in order to disrupt its work, and prevent it from threatening any homes.

Picture taken at 4:45PM on 16 March 2003, Rafah, Occupied Gaza. Other peace activists tend to Rachel after she was fatally injured by the driver of the Israeli bulldozer (in background). This photo was taken seconds after the bulldozer driver dragged his blade over her for the second time while reversing back over her body. He lifted the blade as seen in the photo only after he had dragged it back over Rachel's body. This image clearly shows that had he lifted his blade at any time he may have avoided killing her, as the bottom section of the bulldozer is raised off the ground.

Picture taken at 4:47PM on 16 March 2003, Rafah, Occupied Gaza. Rachel Corrie lies on the ground fatally injured by the Israeli bulldozer driver. Rachel's fellow activists have dug her a little out of the sand and are trying to keep her neck straight due to spinal injury. In addition to the photos, here's an eye-witness report:
electronicintifada.net
ISM Media Coordinator Michael Shaik in Beit Sahour offered more details about the events:
"The confrontation between the ISM and the Israeli Army had been under way for two hours when Rachel was run over. Rachel and the other activists had clearly identified themselves as unarmed international peace activists throughout the confrontation.
The Israeli Army are attempting to dishonour her memory by claiming that Rachel was killed accidentally when she ran in front of the bulldozer. Eye-witnesses to the murder insist that this is totally untrue. Rachel was sitting in the path of the bulldozer as it advanced towards her. When the bulldozer refused to stop or turn aside she climbed up onto the mound of dirt and rubble being gathered in front of it wearing a fluorescent jacket to look directly at the driver who kept on advancing.
The bulldozer continued to advance so that she was pulled under the pile of dirt and rubble. After she had disappeared from view the driver kept advancing until the bulldozer was completely on top of her. The driver did not lift the bulldozer blade and so she was crushed beneath it.
Then the driver backed off and the seven other ISM activists taking part in the action rushed to dig out her body. An ambulance rushed her to A-Najar hospital where she died."

In April 2003, Israel’s National Center of Forensic Medicine released an autopsy report that attributed Corrie’s death to “pressure on the chest (mechanical asphyxiation) with fractures of the ribs and vertebrae of the dorsal spinal column and scapulas, and tear wounds in the right lung with hemorrhaging of the pleural cavities.”
And perhaps most damaging to the Israeli IDF claims that the incident was an accident, was the action of the IDF at their own internal investigation. Corrie's parents are suing the IDF, and have just won the right to allow witnesses to be granted visas to come to Israel to testify.
The UK Independent also just broke a story on an IDF general being caught in a cover up, in orchestrating the official IDF version of the incident...

General 'tried to cover up truth about death of Rachel Corrie'
Israeli war hero accused of suppressing testimony that could reveal what really happened to Gaza activist.
By Ben Lynfield Friday, 7 May 2010
"Seven years after the American activist Rachel Corrie was killed by an Israeli army bulldozer in Gaza, evidence has emerged which appears to implicate Israel's Gaza commander at the time, in an attempt to obstruct the official investigation into her death.
The alleged intervention of Major-General Doron Almog, then head of Israel's southern command, is documented in testimony taken by Israeli military police a day after Ms Corrie was killed on March 16, 2003. The hand written affidavit, seen by The Independent, was submitted as evidence during a civil law suit being pursued by the Corrie family against the state of Israel."

Jim, do you have children?

PS: In addition to the killing of Rachel Corrie by the bulldozer driver, Israeli troops have shot and killed several other internationals in different incidents during the Intifada, including German doctor Harald Fischer, Italian cameraman Rafaeli Ciriello, and British United Nations worker Iain Hook.
And let's not forget 21 year old American Emily Henochowicz, who was shot in the face with a tear gas cannister, by the IDF last week, causing the loss of her eye...
