6/4/10 Update Well, I suppose today's train wreck could have been worse. Rather than on Wall Street, it could have happened on Vancouver Island to the train I was riding while it crossed one of those sky-high trestles. That really would have been a long way down. At Friday's close, the Nasdaq Composite Index was down -2.20% YTD (vs. down -1.77% YTD two weeks ago), while the Nasdaq Biotech Index was down -1.91% YTD (vs. up 1.19% YTD two weeks ago). But our intrepid Contest median remained in the black, up 2.85% YTD (vs. up 2.77% YTD two weeks ago). JACKH's portfolio (up 28.95% YTD) took back the Contest lead, with PD53's portfolio (up 28.07% YTD) slipping to second place and FILO's portfolio (up 27.25% YTD) moving to third place. At Friday's close, 21 of the 32 Contest portfolios were in the black with 22 of the 32 topping the NBI. Below is the Top Ten list. Also below are the Top 5 & Bottom 5 Stocks ranked by % Gained and % Lost for the two weeks (foreign stock prices are not converted to US$ in these two tables). Don't let the lousy market spoil your weekend folks! (All corrections, especially adjustments for splits, greatly appreciated.)
