This is a war on oil and why doesn't the U.S. government respond in an overwhelming way to protect our shorelines -- bring in resources from all over the world and send BP every single bill...Watch Rachel Maddow's Show and listen to Dr. Ricki Ott (a Toxicologist with Valdez experience) and you'll realize that anyone who deals with the cleanup of the oil should have respirators and special monitoring...None of our states are prepared to deal with an oil spill of this size and scope...BP is totally overwhelmed and the contractors they do hire are often not very effective...The cleanup and shoreline work could be better coordinated by the U.S. Military (and Colin Powell and strongly recommended this).
