There was no reason for the Bush Administration to overspend to the extent that he turned a Clinton surplus to a deficit. That this country is still alive in spite of the Bush deficits is proof enough that the case here is very different than that of Greece.

It is absolutely necessary to revive the patient and to do so a massive infusion is needed. Overnight armchair critics of the US fiscal policies should have expressed their concern during the past eight years. What this nation does not need now is the politics. The rich have caused the deficits due to the tax breaks they received. Now the rich need to pay up. We need to stop being a welfare state.
