The interesting problem for BP if the leak is significantly > than 15KBPD is that it will make it look like they designed a solution based on believing their own BS about the original magnitude of the leak.

BP has been accused all along of understating the size of the leak, largely for liability reasons. But one would assume they internally were more candid. If they are way off, they will once again look like major fools.

On the bright side, if the flow is significantly above 15KBPD, and there are no easy solutions to boost the flow with this equipment, than there is zero reason to worry about the seal!
