Well..... my data set is old.... aria used to bemoan that molecules that bound to the atp binding site were promiscuous??

I am out of my league. Would be best if TD, BJ, an arql expert, or ????? chimed in. But a molecule can block activity at an active site without actually binding to the site... allosterism.

So the advantage would be specificity? In the pre-Reg FD days, we could get excellent answers to questions like yours just by going to IR, and asking them to solicit a two sentence explanation/answer from the bench grunts.

Sorry, can't really help.

Best! Rick
