Elvin Bishop was on Prairie Home Companion yesterday talking about what he's doing now besides playing music - he's an organic farmer and makes jam out of the stuff he grows. Which reminded me of a story he told on another radio show awhile ago.

He had to fly to a blues festival that BB King was putting on and he thought he'd bring BB some of his jam. Going through security the TSA guy grabs the jar of jam and asks what it is. Bishop says it's jam, he's going to visit BB King and it's a present for him. The TSA guy leans down and puts the jar under his chair, he didn't throw it into the forbidden fluids bin. When Bishop asked if he's going to get his jam back, the TSA guy says "you tell BB the thrill is gone and so is his jam."
