It's a small, small, world. Years ago, when I first began ironworking, my book was out of some local in Texas (Midland-Odessa) and I was allowed to work here in Chicago on permit. As such I was the bottom of the list in being sent out from the hall, was not allowed to find my own job, stuff like that, until I had worked here enough hours to transfer into this local.

Anyway, one of the things I did to keep body and soul together during slow construction times was deliver pizza for a place called Franko's on Bryn Mawr. Man's Country on Clark was a regular customer. Typically a good tip, but everything in the post you linked about the place is accurate. And it wasn't the case that one delivered the pizza to the locked entrance and they took care of it from there. The delivery guys were let in and directed to the appropriate area. I even think it kind of amused them to have us deliver to the specific customer. Best to keep ones eyes down. Never did see Obama, but then I didn't spend a lot of time there, just delivered the pizza and split.
