Dave, I do use leap options occasionally and the strategy you are talking about is called "synthetic stock." I like the concept. The only problem is watching the floor run away from their already wide spreads when you want to do size (anything over one option in Leaps, -g-). I also like the fact that I get interest on the cash in the meantime. But it is tough to get a decent synthetic position on as the floor gets all the good ones and tries to put you in at prices nobody would use. MB
