I'm not trying to be smart, or am I ? But I cannot see why the stock market looks so "bad" when shorting is available. That was the lesson of the severe market decline of recent memory . Since then I have been awaiting the opportunity of a measured response. Maybe it has arrived.

I do agree that there is more profit to be made in a rising market, but even a declining market spells opportunity. They have written books about wizards who consistently beat the S&P500. When it declines, one only has to hold cash to do so; shorting is gravy.LOL
