Problem #1 is dispersants they are using have a saturation danger, and they have already! surpassed that danger level.
Even with a year of this, it damaged would be beyond belief--at least a decade of to recover, perhaps.
The specially designed Nuke at 18,000 feet below sea bed is actually not a danger to environmentally to Ocean---but a danger to opening a crack line from that reservoir to surface.
Oil Drum have peope saying they need at leasst 4 relief wells being drilled----the odds of success with 2 relief wells hitting their target are NOT high, at all.
The releif well, to work MUST enter the Blown Out well and divert all flow to the relief well---NOT easy!!!!!
If it misses and goes into reservoiir it is just another well, that would change nothing regards blown out well.
The thing is they chatter all will be fine with the relief well, but DON"T discuss, this is a Deep Water relief well, never been done---and is NOT even remotely a slam-dunk.Max |
