Ames to Open New Store in Saratoga Springs, N.Y.
ROCKY HILL, Conn., Nov. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Ames Department Store, Inc. (Nasdaq:AMES) today announced that it
will open a new store in Saratoga Springs, N.Y. in the spring of 1998.
The Saratoga Springs location, formerly a Kmart, will be Ames' 74th store in New York. The 70,000 square-foot store is
located in the Price Chopper Plaza in Saratoga Springs.
Joseph R. Ettore, Ames' President and Chief Executive Officer, said, ''We are very pleased to announce our second 1998
store opening. Along with the Saratoga Springs store, we are also looking forward to the Grand Opening of a new store in
Bradford, Pa. in the spring of 1998, as previously announced.''
