Put up or shut up = either take America's suggestion for peace keeping forces or don't consider yourself a "friend" cuz it's b.s., America has to act in its own self interest and peace-keeping forces in Palestine/Israel is necessary for the US strategic interests. if you can't trust America, butt out and stop taking the dole = since you can't trust America, stop taking our money and stop implicating the US in all the b.s. and wars you create in the ME. Israel is no friend if it cannot trust America with its security but can only trust Americe to supply it with money, guns, and cover at the UN for every international infraction committed by the Israelis. America does not need such a so-called "friend."
