Yes, there is a form of so-called international law, but just because something is called law doesn't make it right. To help you understand, there used to be laws about owning slaves in the USA. The "international community" is not as orderly or ethical as the USA slave laws. It's little better than mob rule with vetoes held by the World War II Victor's Club.

It's not even democratic. Libya is part of said "international community" for example. That's hardly a reputable place and I see no reason that Gadaffi's ideas should have as much sway as mine.
