From watching Rachel, I (think I) know that nothing was done to clean up, or is being done, except once, somewhere, some booms were put out and ignored for 45 days, and nothing else has been done since, anywhere, on land or water. Nobody has been listening to the state and local politicos who want somebody else to do the job that is not being done, and that is because Obama didn't take charge.
Somehow, I think there is a bit more to the story.
What I love is Maddow keeps showing these booms along the LA coast that have drifted into shore. For the past week, nearly every day, she has complained about them, repeatedly pointing out they are doing little good. Has anyone from her show called anyone from the state of LA or BP to get those booms put back out so they can actually accomplish what they were intended to do? Apparently not. Of course if they did, then what would they have to complain about?
The last time I saw such prissy, self serving, arrogant, self righteous behavior was when the evangelicals were complaining there was not enough XMAS on display in this country. |
