Dale Baker:

>>Maybe they could have commandeered a couple of empty tankers to vacuum it up at sea. At the spill site.

Since the oil was welling out 5000 feet lower than that much faster than anyone could skim it up, that's a moot point at best.>>

That is a silly statement. Skimmers at the oil welling site would get a lot of the oil. Not getting all of it does not make the exercise moot.

Maybe he doesn't know what the word moot means?

>>No one has any real solutions beyond what has been tried, just general grousing or "Go nuke it!" nonsense.

The whole debate has become nonsensical.>>

The debate has not become nonsensical. We need to have have a serious debate to match the severity of the damage; and with the With BP lying every time they open their mouth e.g. oil is leaking at 1,000 then 5,000 barrels a day; and will cause minimum damage; and guys like Haley Barbour defending the oil companies saying our beaches are clean: "come on down.

Maybe Baker doesn't understand the word nonsensical either?
