Richard, I was born in a country that does not exist anymore (USSR) and "lived" there for 20 years. (I am 40 now) But, that is not a reason I seem to be "preoccupied" with Russia (I have never gone back to visit) I feel that it is the only situation where I have insight and hopefully valid opinion to express. I would'nt invest in Russian gold even with your money. Oil situation with hit and run approach may be different (it is hard to steel from a pipeline)
