It doesn't seem to me to have been a good idea to set up shop among Islamic Jihad, but that's what happened 100 years ago and as a result of the two big wars [WWI WWII] and after the defeat of the Ottoman Empire.

What was a good idea back in the day, and what we have to deal with now are two different things.

I'm anti-government and especially anti religious governments such as Saudi Arabia, Israel, and New Zealand not long ago when it was strongly Christian-based with all sorts of compulsory religious activities inflicted on me.

But they exist so the question is where to from here.

My answer is tradable citizenships so that citizens literally own the states as their personal property. Then, if people wish to obtain Israeli citizenships, or other types, they could buy them on the open market.

That would get the incentives right so that instead of various self-dealing power brokers taking over the chattels of the state for their own benefit and that of their supporters, the shareholding public would have a strong interest in maintaining the value of their property.

Actually, I'm okay with government to the extent that it protects individuals and their property. But the idea of it as a chimp-style tribe is opposite to my ideas. I'm more like the orthodox Jews who argue that Jews should specifically NOT have a state and not owe allegiance to any particular state.

I'm busy getting a new state established which will supersede the morass of territorial states run for the benefit of those in power. It's going quite well. I'm not religious but I'd say it's not far off the Second Coming. Go Google! Yay Qualcomm. Good work Apple. Roll it out JDS Uniphase.
