Yeah 'cause the 20 year s-t-r-e-a-c-h-e-d o-u-t series of court fights in the Exxon Valdez disaster illustrates that *so well*!

Companies can be expected to do what is best for their bottom lines.

Period.

(If that means stiffing everyone they possibly can who have been harmed by some disaster they've caused then that's what can be expected to happen.)
