Campaign contributions -- important as they are -- may not be the biggest factor forcing pro-Israel conformity. Zionist control of most of the mainstream media is at least as important IMHO.

Just look at the US media reaction to the latest Israeli atrocity. Because of their biased and lying reportage and op-eds nearly half the public blames the freedom flotilla for the massacre rather than those who carried it out.
