Sure thing, DMaA, I have no problem in commenting about the link.

IMO one should always be prepared to interrogate the truth or veracity about what's said or written, without necessarily being biased or persuaded by extraneous factors.

Now I'm sure that the fact that Prince Charles referred to Islam has some bearing on your request.

I don't know about you, or others, but I have no problem with the Islamic religion, or with most other religions. What I do have a problem with are those individuals and extremists of any religious persuasion who use a religion for their own inhuman, barbaric and uncivilized ends with no regard for the rights and freedoms of others.
Unfortunately that is what we have seen emanating from those areas of the world which are more traditionally Islamic. But that should not mean that one should tar all Islamists with the same brush.

With regard to what Prince Charles said, maybe we should study it a bit more closely ....

He said, “... the current 'division' between man and nature had been caused not just by industrialization, but also by our attitude to the environment - which goes against the grain of 'sacred traditions'.”

“The Koran,” he said, “tells its followers that there is 'no separation between man and nature' and says we must always live within our environment's limits.
The inconvenient truth is that we share this planet with the rest of creation for a very good reason - and that is, we cannot exist on our own without the intricately balanced web of life around us.
Islam as always taught this and to ignore that lesson is to default on our contract with creation.”

Now, (once again) I don’t know about you but I can go along with the basic sentiments that he expressed, irrespective of whether it came from the Koran, the Bible, the Talmud, or any other religious text.
I’m sure that there will be many practical environmentalists and those genuinely concerned about the state of our planet who would agree with Charles’s observations.

For one thing, it indicates to me that Prince Charles is a very well read individual, who is prepared to be open minded and circumspect in his pursuit of the truth of things, as well as being prepared to be part of the solution without necessarily taking the “popular” route just for the sake of immersing himself in populous opinion.
