From what I read in that article Charles referred to a section of text in the Koran which encouraged folk to “live within our environment's limits.”
If modern Islamists, or others, choose not to interrogate and evaluate the contents of that advice and take the necessary action, then they become part of the problem and not the solution.
But surely that should not deter Charles, or anyone else for that matter, from referring to whatever text in whatever religion to bring home his opinion that something needs to be done about the environmental problems that exist.

Let’s face it, there are many pieces of text in many other religions that are regarded as good advice, but are they always heeded and acted upon ?

And, Yes, maybe those parts of the world that are predominately Muslim have shown high population growths. But there again, does that necessarily have to do with the tenets of that particular religion ?
Let’s consider the population growth in China. That’s never been a Muslim country. And yet the population growth became so bad that the government had to introduce measures that ensured only one offspring per family.

We see massive population growths in India in areas which are not Muslim.
We also see large population growths in certain areas of South America which are not Muslim.

Can we lay the reason for population growth at the door of any religion ? I suspect that there is much more to the reasons and the causes than a people’s religious beliefs.
