Spoke with Dr Q of EVG today. He is actually in Vancouver for a directors meeting. 3 rigs on Rattlesnake, 2 turning at the moment. 2 holes already completed around the diatreme. Deep prophyry target holes will be later in the summer. Meanwhile in the vicinity of hole 88 prospecting had revealed a near surface manifestation of porphyritic textures and breccia, they want to pursue that from surface first, see where it leads and how it may aid in vectoring for the deep target theory. At Carlin, hole 8 is complete and hole 9 has been started, assays for #8 probably within 3 weeks. Assays must first go through Newmont before release. In total they have 17 sections within the Newmont JV and 36 outside the JV. They have completed gravity surveys on their 100% land outside the JV and commenced the first hole there today. Same procedure, RC rig to pre collar then DD drill takes over once they get into alteration. I have no idea, nor did I get an indication from Dr. Q. if number 8 will reproduce the spectacular assays of 7. I can say he sounded very positive on the project and continuing to pursue the model they are developing. No matter how rich or not hole 8 is it will add a lot to their effort to map and project where the gold is.( my words and impression) They do have interest from the industry, who or what interest I don't know. Of course Newmont as their partner is part of that interest, who else again I have no idea but got a clear impression there are other "majors" taking note. Not a lot of info but lots in the works, EVG will be producing news for months to come. Hurry up and wait!! Cheers, Ogi
