The entire world DOES KNOW who created them.. The Saudis, or more appropriately, their Religious fundamentalist/militant Wahhabist religious leaders who prop up their regime.
The Israeli lobby cannot compete with the amount of money the Saudis spend to buy influence in this country and spread their Wahabbist militancy around the world. The Israelis can barely pay for their own military defence, while the Saudis can buy all the arms they want. And they spend BILLIONS purveying their reactionary Wahhabist interpretation of Islam:

Why do you ignore that? Did we create Saudi Arabia? Did the US put the Saudis in power? NO!!
And hell.. even the Saudis had to kick the @ss of their "Muslim Brotherhood" when they attempted to stage a coup against Saudi rule. Ruling Saudi Arabia is a pretty difficult balancing act between rulers and religious leaders and the only way the Saudis maintain legitimacy is by giving their religious fanatics the ability to evangelize around the world, so long as they don't threaten Saudi rule. It was little different for early European Kingdoms, having to balance between secular power and the religious power of the Vatican.
So what did we do? Roosevelt formed a rapport with the Saudis once it was clear they had tremendous quantities of oil in the Kingdom. But now the oil is running out in SA and we've turned to Iraq, where they likely have more oil reserves than SA ever had.
And because both the Saudis and the US shared an interest in opposing the Soviet push into the Mid-East, we sold them weapons, while they sold us oil.
In fact, the only time they cut us off from their oil was in 1973 when they got upset that we provided weapons to that country you hate so much, Israel.
I guess your hatred for Israel makes you an ally of the Saudis, now doesn't it?
So why don't you spend the same amount of time and effort ranting and raving against the Saudis as you do the Israelis?
I would love nothing more than to see the Saudi regime fall for what it has permitted to occur. But they are 30,000 members of a "royal" family trying to control 20 million people..
And it's plainly obvious that we can't just roll the US military up to the gates of Mecca and Medina without incurring the fury of the entire Muslim world, turning moderates into militants.
So the Muslim world has to do it for themselves. And we have to stiffen their spines to make them do it. And we have to support moderate and progressive governmental systems where religion is not the most pervasive force in power.
It may prove impossible without engaging in a "WWIII" scenario...
But we support some unsavory Secular governments because we fear the Religiously Fanatical alternatives.
So stop playing "Blame America First" and recognize that we don't have the kind of control over events that you would like to think we have.
If we were going to spread a religion, we would have spread Christianity to the Mid-East, if only because most Christians are more inclined to "turn the other cheek" rather than strapping a bomb on their chest.
