One other observation:

The way the street has been managing the baby boom sheep has been so "shamefully" obvious to me I am almost embarrassed by the bullsh*t being put out there (and on occasion cut through by some brave person on CNBC albeit almost mentioned under their breath)....about the "Smart little investor" who bought on the dips versus the big dumb traders who got out and lost! Boy, oh boy are their conditioning the sheep to come when the bell rings. That, and the big drops in the market has been a great conditioning device to get the boomers, et.al., used to the market being more volatile and having them be put to hand waving numbness like it doesn't matter when it happens. Great behavioral conditioning then adding the pellet reward of "smart little investor"......

Wish I had saved the scathing paragraph in Barron's remarking about how the street really feels about the smart little investor.......the word "chump" comes to my mind as I think back on it. The way "he" is manipulated....you know last in/last out type of thing....willing to take dumb stuff off their hands with a little fanfare frosting put on the stale piece of cake.....

Reminds me of one of the most recent more blatant I had my astonished mouth open on......The couple of weeks ago.....announcement by some analyst that GTW "MIGHT" be a take-over candidate cause of it's low price.......caused the stock to crank for a few days worth of shorts I suppose.....then the stock went on to tank where it was going....and nothing else has been said since that "announcement".......since when do the analysts spread big speculative rumors like that? Like when they have options for the opposite direction or something?

Ah, there goes some more market virginity......I remember when I got started in this a scant year and a half ago and really believed that the analysts were protecting "us" and giving us the truth.......I didn't know sell meant......to me......and buy meant....from me........lot's of shenanigans of various variety and sophistication......

Just talking out loud.
