Why have 10 countries totally banned the dispersant Corexit...?? And BP could not use ANY Corexit in British waters if they had an oil spill over there. Why has the United States government allowed BP to use the most toxic dispersant on the EPA's "approved" list ?? Many reputable toxicologists say Corexit caused negative impacts on the health of humans and fish after the Valdez oil spill in Alaska. And many experts say it's much tougher to capture the oil with skimmers and booms when you use a dispersant and then the oil spreads through the water column. Well over 1 million gallons of Corexit have been used in the Gulf -- it's never been used in this quantity ANYwhere in the world.
