re BDX - nice writeup. Last year in the dark days, I was looking into business that would survive an economic collapse. I cam up with medical consumables because I thought that those would not be affected much even if a rigirous overhaul in the healthcare were attemtped in the US. I cam up with COV but also owned some BDX which I sold later.

SO I came to BDX from another but just as valid angle. From my limited experience, BDX products always had a stellar quality reputation. Valuation is OK but not great. There is probably some near term pressure on profits from the higher US$. I tempted but have not starte a position yet, due to cash availability and a valuation that is somewhat less compelling than some other opportunities. but generally speaking, I really like BDX here.
