I think this is possible, even likely. But it's a far cry from Matt Simmons "BOP blew off and they're sucking oil up out of the riser theory. I do think oil is coming up from around the riser (i.e, throug a leak in the casing). Hoffmeister's no clown and he's not an anti-oil industry alarmist. But it still means they're gonna have trouble killing the well even with the relief well.
