Is this what you are referring to? I don't know a lot about Pala. Do they try and profit from other companies taking something over, or might they take Capstone private?

TORONTO (miningweekly.com) – Pala Investments Holdings bought about 4,85-million shares in Capstone Mining between May 24 and June 10, representing some 2,44% of the copper miner.

Altogether, Pala and its principals own and control a total of 15,07% of Capstone Mining, Pala said in a statement.

The shares were acquired through the TSX at an average of some C$2,22 a share.

Pala “acquired the common shares for investment purposes and may increase or decrease the investment in these securities depending upon future market conditions”, it said.

Capstone operates two copper mines, the Cozamin operation in Mexico and the Minto mine in Canada's Yukon territory.

Production was halted at Minto on Sunday, because of safety concerns related to a wildfire burning in the vicinity of the operation.

Yukon Wildland Fire Management began a burn-out around the perimeter of the mine on Monday, and reached 50% completion before suspending the activity because of difficult weather conditions.

Shares in Capstone Mining slid 1,3% on Friday, to C$2,29 apiece by 15:59 in Toronto.
