"Does anyone know how this compares with dividends in previous years?" In the past the dividend would increase by $0.01.However the div has been frozen for some time now at it's current level. GTE is in the process of changing from a utilty to a growth co. We should be so lucky to get a dividend at all with the cost of the year 2000 conversion plus the MCI merger. wa.gov Gary-
