Technology (..currently being ignored and/or yet to be applied by the Dizzy City administration, BP, Coast Guard..) already exists to recover or remediate the crude oil mess and underwater plumes. There's nothing wrong with the crude oil, it's just in the Gulf waters instead of in tanks where it is needed for further processing by refineries..!!! Beach sand can be collected, squeezed to recover oil, washed, and then returned to the same beaches.
