tejek You asked why do Republicans think BP shouldn't have to pay. Why don't Rs want BP to pay? They don't. You claimed lots of people interpreted Barton's comments to mean he thinks BP shouldn't have to pay. Many people are intepretating those comments as suggesting that BP was dealt unfairly and shouldn't have to pay. Apparently you are the only person who interpreted it that way. Why not just admit you misspoke in the heat of the moment?
