As I said, I don't think my interpretation is incorrect but you remain unconvinced.

What I'm unconvinced about is your claim that "Many people are intepretating those comments as suggesting that BP was dealt unfairly and shouldn't have to pay."

There was no heat. If anything, the feeling is one of disgust.
