Koan, this is the background of the guy who wrote that article that has you so incensed:

John Ryden is an Engineer with a background in Finance and Economics.

Why are you so convinced he is right? You disparaged Obama, his staff and BP based on some financial engineer's analysis. I am pissed.

And just for the record, he does not say there would have been no oil on the coast if the skimmers had been used....instead the skimmers "should have prevented most of the oil from ever getting even close to shore"; however, this guy is making no guarantees. He also points out that EPA regulations do not allow oily water to be discharged back into the Gulf which is how the Dutch skimmers work. That's why the EPA turned them down at first and its understandable.......at the time the EPA had no idea how bad the spill was since this all happened on Day 3.

Damn, koan, this is real disappointing.........you've been screaming about this for weeks and its mostly a tempest in a teapot.
