Add in battery amortization and electric cars are more expensive right now to operate than internal combustion.

You conveniently leave out that fact.

Air to air batteries are the best hope in the future for electric cars, and there's some new Israeli technology that has a breakthrough in that area. Air to air batteries with a nuclear powered grid should be the future for passenger transport in the US.

Greenheads spouting about windmills, solar, and other crap that cost 10-25-times more than nuclear and natural gas really get on my nerves.

The new battery technology will be incorporated when it makes economic sense. Subsidies only distort the market.
