Can you imagine if Brinker's BUY QQQ bulletin and follow-up newsletters in late 2000 and early 2001 had said to buy GOLD instead? Hall of fame opportunity... but I don't know of anyone who wasn't a permabear who thought to shift significantly from equities to gold in 2000 or 2001. Or it was just over 10 years ago he recommended TEFQX with a full page of the newsletter... had it been gold instead... Heck, anyone would love a 5x gain in a decade when interest rates were small and inflation was low. What is amazing is gold has done so well during a decade of low inflation! Perhaps it is predicting the future or in a massive bubble... who knows? Gold bugs think it will go even higher.. I should probably update my DOW IN GOLD series soon as it is now at an 18 yr low!
